The Audi Q5 Hybrid gets revealed on the quiet
I know, you’re thinking that Audi has decided to get some spoiler photos and powerplant details on the Audi Q5 Hybrid out in the open ahead of the Los Angeles Motor Show to spoil the normal leaks on a new model. But no, it’s a bit more peculiar than that. For some reason – and without fanfare or announcement – Audi has added details of the Q5 Hybrid to its websites.

The McLaren P1 is pretty much out in the open, and has even had it’s dynamic debut – in the hands of Jenson Button – at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. So why is there a McLaren P1 blatting round the Nurburgring wearing a small badge that says ‘XP2R’? Is this a ‘special’ P1; perhaps the first hint that McLaren are going to produce an even more extreme P1?
Apparently Ford wanted to give a few of its offerings a mile-high workout. That would explain why Autoweek reader Brendan Bartolo was able to catch a fleet of four vehicles parked, hoods open, in a Denver hotel parking lot. Full-body camouflage can't disguise a pair of 2013 Ford Fusion sedans, but we have no way of knowing what new technologies may or may not lurk under their conventional sheet metal.
